Wide receiver Andy Stochl, the backup quarterback, came in and hit wide receiver Adam Olson for a 12-yard completion, and then running back Brandon Smith ran the ball in from the 7-yard line with at 7:07 of the second quarter. Game stats Oregon 33, Richmond-Burton 14: At Richmond, quarterback Adam Pittser connected with Harrison Daniels for a 33-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter of R-B’s season opener. Mike Anderson added a second-quarter touchdown on a 1-yard run, but the Rockets didn’t score in the second half. Chicago Christian 53, Marengo 31: At Palos Heights, the Indians opened their football season in a non-conference loss that increased the team’s winless streak to 29 games. Game stats St. Edward 15, Hampshire 7: The Whip-Purs opened the season and their new football stadium with a non-conference loss. Lakes 21, Grayslake North 13: At Grayslake, Glenn Mizowek totaled 111 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries in the Knights’ non-conference loss. Antioch 37, Grayslake Central 21: At Grayslake, the Rams led, 21-17, closing in on halftime, but allowed 20 unanswered points through the second half in their non-conference season opener. |
