


C-G tennis team rolls past ElginCARY – Chris Federighi won at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1, to lead Cary-Grove to a 6-1, non-conference win against Elgin on Friday. Danny Eggensammer and Rory Tatman won a close match at No. 1 doubles for Cary-Grove, 7-5, 6-4. The Trojans (9-3) swept the singles matches with Eric Schimmel winning at No. 2 and Trevor Barrett at No. 3. Grayslake Central 3, Lakes 2: At Lake Villa, Mitch Granger won at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-2, to lead the Rams to a non-conference win. Grant 3, Huntley 2: At Huntley, Cameron Marzejon won, 6-0, 2-6, 6-4, at No. 1 singles for the Red Raiders (1-5) in a non-conference loss.
Grayslake Central 5, Woodstock 3: At Grays-lake, Andrew Hosford was 2-for-4 and homered for the Rams (9-3) in an FVC crossover win. Colin Strange was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Blue Streaks (7-5).
