The Tigers expected to contend in the FVC Fox but will need to bounce back in a big way. About the Wolves: Prairie Ridge never has lost an FVC Fox game to Central. The Wolves had a huge offensive game against Woodstock in a 41-14 victory last week. Kevin Deering (153 yards), Bob Maxey (140) and Justin Henderson (134) all rushed for more than 130 yards. Lester Johnson’s pick: Prairie Ridge 31, CL Central 20 Woodstock North (0-1) at Grayslake Central (0-1) When: 7:15 p.m. today About the Thunder: North lost its first game in school history last week, 22-6, to Grayslake North. Backup QB Tyler Pinchen hit WR Forrest Scott for a 14-yard touchdown pass for the Thunder’s first touchdown. About the Rams: Grayslake Central lost a tough opener to Johnsburg, 12-7. The Rams’ defense held Johnsburg to 189 total yards. The Knights scored on three runs of 35 or more yards in their 22-6 victory against Woodstock North. About the Blue Streaks: Woodstock QB Logan Kunzie threw for 273 yards and two touchdowns, but the Streaks had to throw a lot after falling far behind in their 41-14 loss to Prairie Ridge. About the Giants: A-H rolled past Christian Liberty, 63-0, in its season opener. The Giants beat Hiawatha, 29-14, last year. About the Hurricanes: Marian opened the season with a 42-6 win at North Chicago. RB Andrew Stone rushed for 94 yards and three touchdowns, stepping into a larger role. RB Corey Cavitt (hamstring) is expected to return this week. About the Golden Eagles: RB Ben Albano rushed 22 times for 131 yards and one touchdown in Jacobs’ 21-9 victory against Moline in the season opener. The Eagles allowed 170 yards.
