Crystal Lake South, junior

The Gators left wing scored two goals and had four assists as South won three games against teams from the Metro Central National.

South is leading the Metro Central American Division with a 13-1-0 mark. Stalo scored a goal and had two assists in South’s 8-0 win against Guerin, then had an assist in the Gators’ 5-4 win against Mundelein.

Stalo also had a goal and an assist as South defeated Conant, 7-0. Stalo is third among Metro Central American players in scoring with 11 goals and 26 assists.

Noteworthy

Potent Gators: Crystal Lake South has four of the top five scorers on the Metro Central American Division scoring list. Kenny Hall leads the division with 47 points. Hall has 25 goals and 22 assists.

Hall, a junior, recently passed 100 career points in Metro Central games.

Barrington’s Austin Bostock has 40 points, followed by Stalo (37), Eric Purcell (34) and Mark Greenberg (32).

Greenberg, a senior, scored his 100th career point against Mundelein on Thursday night.

Road trip: Prairie Ridge made its annual trek eastward for the National Invitational Showcase in Jamestown, N.Y.

There it played some of the top teams from the East and Midwest, and fared well last weekend.

The Wolves won their first three games in the tournament. However, Prairie Ridge lost to New Trier Green, 5-1, in the semifinals.
