R-B boys surge past Harvard in late goingHARVARD – The Richmond-Burton boys basketball team erased a six-point deficit with three minutes remaining Tuesday and held on for 52-51 win against Big Northern Conference East Division rival Harvard. The Rockets (12-6 overall, 4-0 BNC East) were led by Kenny Riordan, who had 16 points and started the late comeback when his lob pass intended for Chad O’Kane found the basket for three. The Hornets (5-15, 1-5) turned over the ball on their next possession and O’Kane ended up at the free-throw line, where he hit a pair of foul shots. Then O’Kane got a steal and a layup to put Richmond up by a point, where they stayed until the end of the game. Riordan’s lob pass for O’Kane went in for a three.
