Huntley girls top McHenry

HUNTLEY– Huntley’s girls basketball team limited McHenry to seven first-half points Tuesday and beat the Warriors,
47-32, in Fox Valley Conference Fox Division play.

Kadie Lowery, Hillary Johnson, and CeCe Tsevas each scored nine points to lead the Red Raiders (12-12 overall, 4-5 FVC Fox).

McHenry (14-14, 2-6) was led by Ashley
Conway’s nine points.

Johnsburg 57, Woodstock North 33: At Woodstock,
Melissa Dixon scored 15 points to lead the Skyhawks (20-8, 10-1) in their FVC Fox win. North
(7-17, 1-11) was led by Emma Everly’s 16 points.

CL South 70, St. Edward 49: At Crystal Lake, Jenny Hanrahan scored 23 points and Michelle Gaede scored 16 for the Gators (14-11) in their non-conference win.

Hampshire 71, Belvidere 38: At Hampshire,
Christina Heine scored 14 points as the Whip-Purs won the non-conference game. Cassie Dumoulin had 13 points for Hampshire (22-1).

GIRLS BOWLING

Woodstock co-op 2,177, Lakes 1,833: At Antioch Lanes, Rachel Goldberg bowled a match-high 498 series and match-high 190 game for the Blue Streaks.

Huntley 2,318, Larkin 2,224: At Bowl-Hi Lanes in Huntley, Kacy Kane bowled a match-high 545 series, and Amy Antzcak bowled the high game with a 208 in the Red Raiders’ win.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Hampshire 49, Marengo 35: At Marengo, Justin Bieber scored 13 points to lead Hampshire (13-8, 5-2) in their Big Northern Conference East Division win. Zach Lundquist had 10 points for Marengo (3-15, 2-6).

Harvard 52, North Boone 43: At Poplar Grove, Chase Blazier scored 15 points for the Hornets (8-15, 3-5) in their BNC East win.

Williams Bay (Wis.) 63, Alden-Hebron 42: At Hebron, Alex Meyer scored 15 points for the Giants (4-5) in a non-conference loss.

BOYS SWIMMING

Cary-Grove 127.5, Vernon Hills 55.5: At Vernon Hills, Ed Griswold won the
200-yard freestyle (1:54), and Conor Cornelius won the 500 free (5:14) to lead C-G.

BOYS HOCKEY

Purcell scored two goals for the Gators.
