Updates from the IHSA Dual Team State Wrestling Tournament in Bloomington on Saturday:

Montini defeated Crystal Lake Central in the championship round, 47-19.

Winners for Central were Trevor Jauch (125 pounds), Christian Malouf (135), Austin Marsden (189) and Gage Harrah (215 pounds).

Crystal Lake Central will wrestle Montini for the championship, but the Tigers have not advanced easily.

Central again went down to the last match to decide the dual in defeating Lemont, 39-36. Trailing, 36-35, the Tigers’ Taylor Servant beat Eric Kirkman, 13-1, for a major decision to get the team win.

Montini defeated Champaign Central, 55-15, to advance.

Crystal Lake Central advanced to the semifinals with a 39-32 win against Sycamore. The Tigers are wrestling Lemont in the semifinals. Lemont defeated Troy Triad, 33-25.

Central went into the last match at 140 pounds up just 33-32 and needing a win from Christian Malouf to advance. Malouf got a pin in 1:44 to secure the win and a chance to wrestle in the semifinals.
