IBCA announce girls basketball all-state selections

The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association on Wednesday announced the players receiving honors for their efforts this season.

Johnsburg junior Melissa Dixon, Johnsburg senior Megan Lopez, Hampshire seniors Chrissy Heine and Cassie Dumoulin and Hampshire junior Alex Dumoulin were honored.

Dixon, the Northwest Herald Girls Basketball Player of the Year, and Heine were Class 3A Third Team selections. Heine was also named to the Northwest Herald's All-Area First Team.

Lopez and the Dumoulin sisters received Class 3A Special Mention. Lopez was named to the Northwest Herald All-Area First Team, Alex Dumoulin to the Second Team and Cassie Dumoulin received an honorable mention.
