BRIAN CULLEN Prairie Ridge, jr., 103 pounds, 36-7 Cullen made it to the finals in his first state tournament, finishing second in Class 2A.
CL South, so., 103 pounds, 42-1 Fontanetta suffered his only loss of the season in the quarterfinals at state but came back to take third place in Class 3A. MIKO VILLANUEVA Dundee-Crown, sr., 112 pounds, 42-6 Villanueva finished third at state for the second consecutive year in Class 3A.
CL Central, jr., 145 pounds, 44-3 Kielbasa won his second consecutive state tournament in Class 2A and also won the Al Dvorak Memorial Wrestling Tournament at Harlem at 152 pounds.
CL Central, sr., 140 pounds, 41-4 Servant qualified for state for the second time, making it to the finals in Class 2A for a second-place finish. Joey Moorhouse Marengo, sr., 152 pounds, 33-2 Moorhouse placed at state for the second consecutive year, making it to the finals for a second-place finish in Class 2A. Jack Dechow R-B, so., 160 pounds, 43-6 Dechow finished third at the Sterling Sectional but made it to the finals at state in Class 2A for a second-place finish. Dan Stott Harvard, so., 160 pounds, 37-8 Stott qualified for state for the second time and finished third in Class 1A.
Marian Central, jr., 171 pounds, 25-5 Koch placed at state for the second consecutive year, finishing fourth in Class 2A. Austin Marsden CL Central, jr., 189 pounds, 49-2 The Northwest Herald Wrestler of the Year, Marsden had the most wins of any area wrestler. David Vinton Prairie Ridge, sr., 215 pounds, 33-6 After losing in the regional and sectional finals, Vinton capped his senior season with a state championship in Class 2A.
