Player of the Year: Mike Dixon, Johnsburg, sr.

Coach of the Year: Curtis Price, Marian Central

First Team

Mike Dixon

Johnsburg, sr., guard

The 5-foot-11 guard, a fourth-year starter, averaged 13.8 points a game and was the consummate floor leader, with 4.5 assists and 3.6 rebounds a game. He shot an area-best 89.3 percent on free throws as Johnsburg (27-3) had its third-best season in school history.

C.J. Fiedorowicz

Johnsburg, sr., center

Fiedorowicz (6-6, 250 pounds) was a force inside, averaging 16.4 points and 8.1 rebounds a game. He also shot 77.7 percent on free throws as the Skyhawks advanced to the IHSA Class 3A Vernon Hills Sectional championship.

Chad Ljunggren

Prairie Ridge, sr., guard

The 6-foot guard was one of the toughest players in the area to defend when he was driving to the basket. He scored 15.2 points a game and hit 56 three-pointers, along with 1.7 assists and 2.4 steals a game for the 12-16 Wolves.

Chad McCarron

Cary-Grove, sr., forward

The 6-3 forward got a late start on the season after the Trojans won the Class 6A state championship in football. Once in basketball, he had a huge impact with an area-best-tying 16.4 points and 5.2 rebounds. McCarron hit 47.4 percent on field goals as C-G won the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division.

Danny Noonan

Marian Central, sr., guard

Noonan scored 16.2 points a game and hit 46 three-pointers as the Hurricanes went 20-10 and won the IHSA Class 3A Woodstock North Regional championship, their first regional title since 1977. Noonan averaged 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals a game.
