Huntley 7, Woodstock 4: At Woodstock, Andre Sopena went 2 for 4 with a run and a triple and Matt Morin (3-2) struck out two and earned the FVC crossover win for the Red Raiders (18-4, 11-3 FVC Valley). Tyler Weiss and Matt Buhrow each doubled for Woodstock (7-14, 2-10 FVC Fox). Cary-Grove 26, Woodstock North 8 (5 inn.): At Woodstock, Eddie Bauer went 3 for 3 with four RBIs, and Ryan Baltes went 1 for 2 with a double and two RBIs as the Thunder (4-15, 0-12 FVC Fox) lost to the Trojans (14-8, 10-4 FVC Valley) in FVC crossover action. Lohff went 2 for 3 with a solo home run and the Indians (3-18, 0-6 BNC East) dropped a BNC East contest to the Rockets. St. Edward 5, Marian Central 3: At Woodstock, Casey DiPietro went 1 for 3 with a double and two and RBIs and the Hurricanes (14-6 overall, 5-3 SCC Blue) lost to the Green Wave in Suburban Christian Conference play. Rockford Christian 6, Alden-Hebron 5: At Rockford, Ian Johnson went 2 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs and Cody Eskridge went 1 for 3 with a double as the Giants (1-14 overall, 1-5 NAC) lost a Northeastern Athletic Conference contest.
Grant Invitational : At Fox Lake, Dakota Pruitt place third in the 1,600 meters (4:47) and Jake Szramek placed third in the pole vault (10-0) to lead Johnsburg (19 points) to a sixth-place finish. Lakes (210) won the event.
Prairie Ridge 6, Jacobs 1: At Crystal Lake, Connor Greenwald won at No. 1 singles as the Wolves won the Fox Valley Conference match. Quinn Revak and Brandon Curtis added a win at No. 1 doubles for Prairie Ridge (9-2, 9-0 FVC). Brian Kolzer and Kinchit Joshi won at No. 2 doubles for the Golden Eagles. Cary-Grove 4, Dundee-Crown 3: At Carpentersville, Chris Federighi won at No. 1 singles as the Trojans won the FVC match. Matt Butler and Mike Scott added wins at No. 2 and 3 singles, respectively, in an FVC win for C-G (3-11, 2-7). Liam Blume and Kevin Brandstatter won at No. 1 doubles for the Chargers (3-10, 0-9). Brendon Regner and Chris Goulet won at No. 1 doubles for Johnsburg (12-2, 8-2). CL Central 6, Woodstock 1: At Woodstock, Tyler George (No. 1 singles) and Jake Lenhard (No. 3 singles) won their matches and led the Tigers in their FVC win against the Blue Streaks. Grayslake North 7, Woodstock North 0: At Woodstock, the Thunder (1-11, 0-9) were swept in FVC play by the Knights. Rockford Lutheran 4, Marengo 0: At Marengo, the Indians (0-12) pushed both doubles matches to three sets before losing each and being swept in non-conference play.
