The top-seeded Red Raiders scored 15 runs in the fourth and advanced with a 21-1, five-inning win against Larkin. Tom Crohan scored twice and had four RBIs, and Phil Pupillo and Zach Staab each had three RBIs. Staab also had a home run for Huntley (25-9), which will play either Jacobs or Crystal Lake South at 11 a.m. Saturday in the regional title game. Class 3A Marian Central Regional: At Woodstock, Matt Malecki, Travis Jewell and Bryan Leslie each had two RBIs as third-seeded Richmond-Burton defeated second-seeded Wauconda, 8-3. R-B will play Marian Central in the regional final at 1 p.m. Saturday. Class 3A Hampshire Regional: Max Shaw had two hits, but fifth-seeded Hampshire (16-18) lost to top-seeded Burlington Central, 8-2, in the semifinals. Class 4A Dundee-Crown Regional: At Carpentersville, Scott Nowicke had three hits, including a three-run homer, for fourth-seeded Dundee-Crown, which lost to top-seeded South Elgin, 6-5, in the semifinals. Mike Lodi took the loss for the Chargers (13-23-1). BOYS TRACK Class 1A State Meet: At Charleston, Harvard’s Coty Kramer qualified for Saturday’s final in the 200 meters (22.44 seconds) during preliminaries. He was the only local athlete to advance. SOFTBALL Class 3A Vernon Hills Regional: Shana Sigmund got the lone hit for second-seeded Crystal Lake Central, which lost to No. 3 seed Vernon Hills, 2-0. Jackie Kisman took the loss, striking out 10 for the Tigers (23-9). Class 4A Cary-Grove Regional: Megan Gier and Mikaela Mitsch each had doubles as No. 3 seed McHenry lost to second-seeded Grant, 7-6.
