Johnsburg boys golfers 2nd at Byron Shootout

BYRON – The Johnsburg boys golf team took second place Friday at the four-team Byron Shootout at Prairie View.

The scheduled 18-hole event was shortened to nine holes because of rain.

The Skyhawks had 168 strokes, two more than winner Byron, and were led by a third-place finish by Rick Pries, who shot a 5-over-par 41. Colin Goulet also shot a 41 to finish in fourth place, and Jake Gasior placed 10th with a 45 for the Skyhawks.
