Prairie Ridge golfers top St. Ed, stay perfect

PRAIRIE GROVE – So far, Prairie Ridge girls golf coach Patti Hie likes what she sees from her Wolves – a team without any seniors.

The Wolves, who graduated four seniors last season, are off to a 5-0 start after beating St. Edward, 185-233, at Prairie Isle on Thursday.

Sophomore Danielle Roulo earned medalist honors with an 8-over-par 44, and Robin Manarik (44), Delainey Peterson (49) and Jessica Stengel (49) all shot in the 40s.

“We have a real good sophomore class,” Hie said. “They played hard all summer and we’re shooting some of the same scores that our seniors shot last year.”
