Game summary: At Woodstock, Grayslake North used a potent running attack to win a Fox Valley Conference Fox Division game Friday against Woodstock North, 27-15. Kurtis Boyd, Andrew Soulis, David Collins and Ian Gwaltney split the rushing duties for the Knights.

Key play: Grayslake North running back Kurtis Boyd ran for a 64-yard touchdown with 6:42 left in the third quarter to help the Knights open up a 20-7 lead over the Thunder.

Key stat: The Knights threw only two passes all night.

Top player: Boyd ran for a 23-yard touchdown in the first quarter to go with his 64-yard scamper in the third quarter.

Quote: “Without the great blocking I had from the line and Andrew Soulis, neither one of those touchdowns would have happened,” Boyd said. “[Woodstock North] had just scored and we needed something to pick us up. After that long touchdown run, it seemed to pull us back together.”
