The Hornets also collected individual wins from Jorge Pichardo, who finished in 10:31.15 to take first in the 3,200, and David Wilson, whose 2:07.25 was the top time in the 800. Harvard had third-place finishes in the 800 meters relay and 400 meter relay and finished with 75 total team points, as well. And Bach took second in the 400 meter dash (54.11). BASEBALL McHenry 6, CL Central 4: At Crystal Lake, Jake Poulos drove in three runs on two hits for the Warriors (5-5, 3-2 FVC Valley) with Chase Matheson scoring two runs in McHenry’s Fox Valley Conference crossover win. Ryan Mannix and Dylan Cysewski each scored a run for the Tigers (6-6, 2-3 FVC Fox) with Mannix going 2 for 3. Huntley 9, Jacobs 7: At Algonquin, Jake Staab picked up the win for the Red Raiders in an FVC Valley win. Henry Giegeous homered for the Golden Eagles. Dundee-Crown 11, Johnsburg 1 (6 inn.): At Carpentersville, Eric Brewer did not allow an earned run for the Chargers in an FVC crossover win. Also for D-C (7-6, 4-1 FVC Valley), Scott Nowicke hit two doubles and had four RBIs. Johnsburg’s record slipped to 2-10, 0-5 in the FVC Fox. Prairie 5, Grayslake North 1: At Grayslake, Zach Coel gave up one walk, six hits and no runs with five strikeouts in a complete game, FVC Fox win for the Wolves (3-8, 1-2 FVC Fox). Jordan Getzelman went 2 for 4 with a double and a triple, Bobby Myers (2 for 3) drove in two runs and Matt Krenz and Alex Senyshyn each went 1 for 3. Richmond-Burton 15, Hampshire 7: At Richmond, Ray Wojciechowski pitched six innings, giving up one walk and six runs to go along with four strikeouts in the Rockets’ BNC East Division victory. Matt Malecki went 3 for 4 with a double and Ryne Blanton went 4 for 4 with a double for the Rockets (10-2, 1-0 BNC East). BOYS TENNIS Johnsburg 7, Woodstock North 0: At Woodstock, Chris Goulet won at No. 1 singles in an FVC sweep for the Skyhawks (5-2, 4-2 FVC) against the Thunder (1-5, 0-4). CL South 7, Dundee-Crown 0: At Carpentersville, Cam Laktash won at No. 1 singles for the Gators (7-0, 4-0 FVC) in an FVC win. The Chargers (5-8, 2-2 FVC), did not win a match but pushed South to three sets in five matches. Prairie Ridge 5, Cary-Grove 2: At Crystal Lake, the Wolves (2-1, 2-1 FVC) swept the doubles matches including a win at No. 1 doubles by Sam McNally and Jack Hogan. Chris Federighi won at No. 1 singles for the Trojans (7-5, 3-2). CL Central 4, Grayslake Central 3: At Grayslake, Tyler George won at No. 2 singles in an FVC dual win for the Tigers (2-3, 2-2 FVC). Mitch Granger won at No. 1 singles for the Rams. McHenry 5, Huntley 2: At Huntley, the Warriors (2-2, 1-2) swept the doubles matches led by a win at No. 1 by Dave Robinson and Jake Romme. Tanner Novalinski won at No. 1 singles for the Red Raiders (3-5, 1-4 FVC).
