Injured but not done: Huntley senior defender Alyse Williams is again nursing a meniscus injury, Red Raiders coach Kris Grabner said last week, but he expects her back in time for the postseason, noting that the injury was not major. Williams has injured her ACL and meniscus in back-to-back seasons. She is headed to Illinois State University on a soccer scholarship. The loss has not slowed the Raiders, though. Huntley’s defense remains stingy, and the Raiders moved from No. 14 to No. 11 this week in the ESPN RISE Top 50 national rankings. Torman recognized: Marengo senior forward Alexa Torman has scored more goals this season than any other player in Illinois, according to MaxPreps.com, which lists state leaders. Torman has scored 23 goals in 14 games. She has added six assists. This week’s top games McHenry at Jacobs 6:30 p.m. today The Warriors and Golden Eagles face off in an FVC Valley Division match.
