Gabrys was 1 for 3, and teammate Sam Hereley was 2 for 4 with two triples and a run scored. Maty Brincks earned the win, scattering five hits, four strikeouts and three walks in seven innings. “I think it was a good team win,” Harvard coach Will Benson said. “Everyone contributed in some way offensively and defensively.” Randi Blazier was 2 for 3 with a run, and Brittany Finke was 2 for 2 with two runs for the Hornets (13-8 overall, 4-4 BNC East). Grace Jakubowski was 1 for 3, and Christina Potempa was 2 for 4 with two doubles for Hampshire (5-16, 2-5). BASEBALL Alden-Hebron 1, Luther North 0 (5 inn.): At Hebron, Shane Engelbrecht tossed a five-inning no-hitter, fanning nine and walking four in the Giants’ win in Northeastern Athletic Conference action. Engelbrecht helped himself at the plate, going 1 for 2. Hunter Ogle was 1 for 2, and Cody Eskridge went 2 for 2 with a double and an RBI for the Giants (14-10, 6-4). A-H was supposed to play two five-inning games against Luther North on Wednesday, but postponed the second contest because of rain. Marian Central 7, Hinckley-Big Rock 1: At Hinckley, Matt Allare gave up one run on seven hits and struck out two as the Hurricanes (13-6) defeated the Royals in a non-conference game.
