PR, R-B, Marian players named All-State

Both of the area’s teams remaining in the IHSA state football playoffs were represented on the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association All-State teams announced Thursday.

Prairie Ridge linebacker Collin Corcoran and guard Tom Evans were selected to the Class 6A team. Richmond-Burton guard-defensive tackle John Flood was named in Class 4A.

Marian Central two-way tackle Scott Taylor, who has committed to Northern Illinois University, was picked to the Class 5A team.

Prairie Ridge (11-1) plays at Batavia (12-0) at 1 p.m. Saturday in a Class 6A semifinal. Richmond-Burton (11-1) plays at Stillman Valley (10-2) at 2 p.m. Saturday in a Class 4A semifinal.
