CL South defeats McHenry

NORTHWEST HERALD

MCHENRY – Crystal Lake South edged McHenry, 34-33, in a low scoring Fox Valley Conference Valley Division matchup on Tuesday.

Rachel Rasmussen led the Gators (5-10, 1-2 FVC Valley) with 12 points and Sara Mickow added 10 and grabbed 10 rebounds. Laura D’Angelo had 10 for the Warriors and Allisa Rosga chipped in eight.

It was tough scoring points for both teams with McHenry (12-8, 1-3) the only team to get in double figures for a quarter with 13 in the fourth.

Warriors coach Scott Morris said mistakes hurt his team.
