Beagle out as McHenry football coach

McHenry football coach Tim Beagle will not return to the team for a seventh season, McHenry athletic director Drew Potthoff said Thursday.

Beagle was 24-32 in six seasons coaching the Warriors. He led them to the last two of their 20 consecutive state playoff appearances.

But in the final four seasons under Beagle, the team went 12-24, including a 4-5 finish this season.

The school likely will choose a new football coach after they hire a new full-time athletic director, said Potthoff, who retired last year but is working part-time as athletic director this school year.
