With the first substantial snowfall predicted Thursday afternoon and expected to continue into the night, all local high school sports events were postponed Thursday.
The Northern Illinois Holiday Classic girls basketball games have been rescheduled for today. Each of the four host schools will now feature four games on the final day of the tournament, beginning at
3 p.m.
The inclement winter weather also postponed Hampshire’s boys basketball game Thursday against Marmion at DeKalb until 5 p.m. today. Johnsburg’s girls basketball game against Rockford Lutheran also was postponed Thursday. That game has not yet been rescheduled.
