ROUNDUP: Woodstock girls top Indian Creek

INDIAN CREEK – The Woodstock girls basketball team used an 18-point second quarter Monday for a 47-34 nonconference win over Indian Creek.

The Blue Streaks (9-13) led by 15 at halftime, with 11 of Cody Brand’s game-high 18 points coming in the first half.

Ari Davis added 12 points for Woodstock, with Sami Ludwig adding nine, all on three-pointers.

Elk Grove 59, Dundee-Crown 35: At Elk Grove Village, Melissa Barker and Stephanie Magsamen both scored six points to lead the Chargers (2-19) in a nonconference loss.


South Beloit MLK Tournament: At South Beloit, Harvard defeated South Beloit, 50-49, but lost to Dakota, 53-39.

Justin Nolen led the Hornets (4-10) in scoring both games, putting up 21 against South Beloit and 12 against Dakota.

Faith Lutheran 60, St. Martin de Porres 55: At Crystal Lake, Matt Van Antwerp led Faith Lutheran (4-16) with 21 points and 12 rebounds in a nonconference win.


Huntley 97, McHenry 85: At McHenry, Bryan Haage won the 200-yard individual medley (2:12.80) and the 100 backstroke (1:01.10) for the Red Raiders in a Fox Valley Conference win.

Adam Jensen won the 200 freestyle (1:53.28) for the Warriors.
