Area cheer teams headed to sectional

The Crystal Lake Central competitive cheerleading team won Monday's Fox Valley Conference Fox Division title while Huntley won the Valley Division title at Prairie Ridge on Monday.

Both schools will compete at Saturday's Byron Sectional in the Large Team division. Grayslake Central was second and Grayslake North was third in the Fox Division on Monday while Jacobs was second and McHenry was third in the Valley Division.

All of the Valley Division teams, along with Grayslake North, Hampshire, Grayslake Central and Woodstock North will compete in Byron on Saturday. The top five out of 19 will advance to the state competition in Bloomington on Feb. 1-2.
