C-G football team to be honored Tuesday

The Cary-Grove vs. Crystal Lake South boys basketball game will hold plenty of interest for its importance in the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division race.

It also will have some extra significance for what will happen at halftime. C-G's Class 6A state championship football team will be honored by Maxpreps.com and the U.S. National Guard, which will present a 2009 Tour of Champions trophy, recognizing the Trojans' 14-0 team as one of the best high school teams in the nation.

Also, Bears defensive back Danieal Manning will in attendance with the National Guard before the game.
