Spring has sprung

All ya have ta do is look outside to see that spring is here, and with all this great weather leadin’ into this new season our spring sports have begun.

The Rant’s Irish eyes are smilin’ (at least on St. Patrick’s day) just thinkin’ about gettin’ outside and watchin’ some great baseball and softball games. The Rant will follow that with some girls soccer, boys tennis and track. When it rains, there is always water polo, but The Rant’s not much of a swimmer, so I’ll stay away from the edge.

The Rant is predictin’ that McHenry County will again have plenty of success in the regular season and even more in the postseason.

By the way, The Rant isn’t really Irish, but any excuse to have a big ‘ol corn beef sandwich, blood puddin’ and Irish stew, and The Rant will break out the ukulele and the Michael Flatley videos.

One thing we all know is that the weather can change quickly around here, so here’s to hopin’ that these nice days become a habbit. Unfortunately, The Rant hears there is a chance for snow Sunday.
