Crystal Lake South quarterback Austin Rogers will wear No. 46 instead of his usual No. 10 for today’s game at Grayslake Central in honor of former Gator Anthony Pauls.
Pauls, 22, was killed in Champaign Saturday by a drunk driver. Pauls, a senior majoring in engineering, was a pedestrian when he was struck by a car late Friday night. He died several hours later.
Pauls played baseball and football at South, graduating in 2009. He wore No. 46 when he played defensive back, so Rogers will wear that number in the regular-season finale.
