Richmond-Burton junior Ali Frantti, a 6-foot-1 outside hitter, committed to attend Penn State on a volleyball scholarship.
Frantti has been instrumental in R-B's 33-4 season. The Rockets won their Class 3A regional this week and meet Kaneland at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Marian Central Sectional.
Frantti picked Penn State over several other Big Ten Conference schools, including Illinois, Northwestern, Michigan and Purdue.
