HARVARD – The Richmond-Burton boys basketball team erased a six-point deficit with three minutes remaining Tuesday and held on for 52-51 win against Big Northern Conference East Division rival Harvard.
JOHNSBURG – Crystal Lake Central’s wrestling team clinched at least a share of the Fox Valley Conference Fox Division title with a 50-24 win against Johnsburg on Thursday.
WOODSTOCK – With a 51-48 victory against Johnsburg, the Woodstock girls basketball team not only upset the Skyhawks, but the Blue Streaks shook up the Fox Valley Conference Fox Division in the process.
HEBRON – Outscoring Westminster Christian by eight points in the fourth quarter Thursday, the Alden-Hebron girls basketball team forced overtime and won its Northeastern Athletic Conference game, 44-37.
HEBRON – Alden-Hebron trailed by six at halftime but rallied against Union Grove Christian in the second half to earn a 57-52 non-conference boys basketball victory Monday.
MACHESNEY PARK – Hampshire’s girls basketball team made it look easy again Thursday.
CRYSTAL LAKE – Kenny Hall and Eric Purcell each scored seven points Monday night for Crystal Lake South’s boys hockey team.
WOODSTOCK – McHenry came into Thursday’s wrestling dual meet with Woodstock North knowing it would be facing a young team in its first year of varsity competition.
HEBRON – Alden-Hebron’s boys basketball team evened its season and Northeastern Athletic Conference record Monday with a 54-43 victory against Illinois Math and Science Academy.
RICHMOND – The Richmond-Burton wrestling team played the greedy host Saturday, edging second-place Marengo by six points to win the R-B Classic.
WEST AURORA – Huntley’s girls basketball team used a balanced scoring attack Monday in a 64-54 non-conference win against West Aurora.
